Naturally Refined Villanova, PA

Situated on a steep south-facing slope, this main line residence provided challenges in design and project execution. Coming on the tail end of an extensive redesign and renovation of the residence, this multi-faceted landscape offers something for all. A tennis court is flanked by a pavilion, lush landscape and flagstone patio. A koi pond with a tumbling waterfall, features large stepping stones that lead through the pond. The pond changes moods and color schemes with the passing of the seasons and provides a tranquil focal point for the kitchen terrace. Large sliding doors offer a great interior vista of the landscape.

A large expansive lawn offers shady retreats underneath large canopy trees, including a very old large Beech Tree, which was delicately preserved. Large tree transplants from a neighboring residence were incorporated into the landscape, and an allee of Flowering Cherries offer a colorful welcome to spring weather.
